I've decided to write my book Demystifying Dementia to provide more information around how we can support loved ones living with the disease to be the best that they can be.
This book is written in plain English. You can read about symptoms, risks and what we can do now to reduce our risk. There are inspiring real life stories that tell us people can still live well with dementia.
The overriding message is that if we can do something now, why wait until later?
It is written for anyone who’s curious and wants to learn more about dementia. I understand that time can be a challenge, especially when we are caring for a loved one. Therefore, this will be an easy-read book. I wrote this book with carers/family members in her heart because they’re the people who are time poor as they pour out their hearts and love to care for their loved ones.
Have you witnessed loved ones around you losing themselves in front of you and you felt lost not knowing what to do? Do you know someone currently caring for a loved one living with dementia?
My message to you is that there is still hope.
Demystifying Dementia will be launched in November. I've set a goal to donate 1,000 copies of my book to families with loved ones living with dementia.
You can preorder a copy at $29.95. For every preorder placed, another copy will be donated to a family caring for loved ones living with dementia.
